Easter

We had a great Easter weekend. We went to church Saturday evening, followed by Grandma Bostow's for a cookout. Then Sunday we headed to Kelly and Dave's for Easter with the Krumm's. It was a beautiful day visiting with family and watching the kids enjoy the egg hunt! I must say it is great being back close to family, especially for the holidays. I do not miss that 4 hour drive back to Dodgeville on Easter Sunday afternoons!

At church Cal was determined to touch the water in the fountain:There was an Easter Bunny at church that Leyton was nervous and excited to meet!At Kelly's Cal was really interested in Luca, as usual:Except Luca has developed a fondness for pulling on Cal's luscious locks... and Cal isn't a fan of the hair pulling!Cal looks like a giant next to Luca!Trying to get a group photo before the egg hung... only a couple kids missing! (Lauren and Luca)Cal ready to take off on the egg hunt!Cal finding his first egg... curious about what it is:Lindsey with Luca and her baby (boy!) bump:Leyton running excited with a basket full of eggs:My attempt at a photo of them in their Easter outfits:Cal found a new best friend, Brett:He is seriously obsessed with Dogs and cats...And chickens apparently... he got distracted on the egg hunt several times by the chickens wandering the yard!It didn't take Cal long to figure out that the eggs opened and had goodies in them! One of my favorite photos:Happy Easter everyone!

Twins Home Opener

Eric and Leyton went to the Twins Opener on April 9th. Leyton was so excited and he was even lucky enough to get handed a ball after batting practice! They also went to the game Saturday night, the 13th, and it was freezing! The opener was cold but luckily their seats were in the sun, but Saturday night it was raining on and off and a high of around 40! They had their winter gear on and once again Leyton wanted to stay the whole game. It was a late night and the Twins lost again, but they still always have fun. Hopefully one of these games they go to the Twins will win for them!Holding the precious batting practice ball!Bundled up for the cold night game:

Dying Easter Eggs

Last week we had fun dying Easter eggs. Cal got to color again while I helped Leyton do the eggs. He was really excited about the animal ones and still hasn't let us peel and eat them! Leyton wanted to do more so we got anther kit to do with Dad and Aunt Sarah a couple days later. We have more than enough hard boiled eggs now!

Making Donuts

The other day Grandma Bostow came over and brought her donut maker! Leyton had fun helping her make them and frost them, and they both enjoyed eating them!

Go Twins!

The Twins first game is today, and is actually on right now (hence the reason I have time to be doing blog posts). Eric and Leyton are going back and forth between watching it on TV and running outside to play baseball and Cal is STILL napping! Eric made sure the boys had on their Twins hats, but trying to get a photo of the 3 of them looking was next to impossible. These were the best I could get...

Easter crafts

Leyton always wants to paint, color, use the glue-gun (which I talk him out of most days...) and basically do any kind of art/craft possible. So this week I've finally started letting Cal get in on the activities. Cal was not shy and went to town with the paints and markers, but he couldn't resist trying out the markers on his face and hands too. These are some photos of them painting and coloring an egg.
