Fiona

Here are a few photos of Fiona from last week! She is getting bigger by the day!

Fun at the St. Croix County Fair

Last weekend we went to the St. Croix County Fair, which is the same fair my sisters and I went to show things for 4-H growing up.  I had not been in quite a few years so it was fun to see everything again.  The kids and I met up with Tina, Susie and my mom to go on some rides and see Grace show her chicken.  We had fun going on rides and seeing the animals, and of course enjoying cheese curds and root beer floats :).  Eric and Kelly were doing their second Tough Mudder while the kids and I were at the Fair.  I am proud of them!

Cal really liked the rides... except the Tilt 'O Whirl that Tina took him on!  Although he looked terrified, he managed to stay on the ride the whole time without shutting it down :)
Cal loved this train ride, and although the older kids thought it was baby-ish they went on it too.
This was definitely his favorite ride!  He went on it over and over again, sometimes without getting off in between rides.

Fiona and Tommy happened to be matching so I had to get a photo:

In line for the tilt o whirl!  Poor Cal looks so happy here ;)

At least one of my kids was happy at the end of it!
Grace was super nice and took Cal down this slide for me a bunch of times.  He loves slides!

I was surprised he liked this one as much as he did since it goes pretty high in the air.

Cal and Maggie did this one a couple times together too:

Lucy and Leyton:

Cal was really interested in the horses. This girl was nice enough to let him pet hers.

Grace getting ready to show her chicken, Beauty Queen!
Kelly made it back from Tough Mudder to see Grace show:

Last Game

July 9th was Leyton's last baseball game.  It was a good season and Leyton seemed to enjoy it.  He really came out of his shell by the last couple games.  Definitely wasn't as shy and seemed to know what to do out there a little bit more!
They all got medals at the end, which of course he was very excited about!

I think Cal is excited for when its his turn to play baseball, instead of just watching every weeek!

Slip 'N Slide fun

A couple weeks ago on a super hot day Eric went outside to get the Slip 'N Slide going.  It was pretty funny when I came out and saw that he had hooked our two Slip 'N Slides together to make one big one.  Now when I say one big one, I think its still technically smaller that the original yellow Slip 'N Slide from when we were kids.  They just dont make them like they used to!  Or at least our cheap little ones arent quite the same :).  Anyhow, hooking them together worked good and the kids thought it was extra funny.  I thought it was extra funy when I saw Eric had put helmets on the kids!  Better safe than sorry I guess, and Cal does get pretty crazy!  (As a side note, Eric used to work at Trek and knows that helmets arent suppose to get wet, but he figured it was worth the risk;))

4th of July

This year for the 4th of July we continued the tradition of going up to the McNamara cabin on Spider Lake.  We had a ton of fun and its always good to see Pat and Terri.  Here are a few photos from the day, which we finished off with Fireworks in New Richmond.

Fiona looking patriotic in her outfit from Diane. (I think the sun was in her eyes)
Cal saw her on the blanket and snuggled right up:

 Happy girl:
Getting invaded once again from a few more kids :)
These two crack me up!  I call them trouble, but I'm sure its more Cal instigating any trouble when they're together than Luca...  And actually they are really good together.  Cal talks about Luca non-stop, and from what I hear most mornings at Jessie's house start out with Luca talking about Cal.
I have no idea why they both have their arms above their heads, other than that they like to copy each other and must have thought that was a funny thing to do for a picture :)
Having a conversation about what to do with their water balloons:

Cal decided to be silly with his I guess:

They played with sticks a good part of the day, and came home covered in bug bites!  (they kept going into the woods for more sticks)

They filled this milk can with sticks, and then took them out... over and over:
We had to tell them no when they came out with this huge stick!  They make a good team!
Maggie, Cal, Grace, Lucy and Leyton ready for some swimming:
Tina, Susie and Kelly scheduled games for the kids this year.  They had a blast.
Leyton and Lauren did awesome at the 3-legged race.  I think they had the advantage with being the same size though :)

 Egg on a spoon races:
Wheel-barrow races!  They did great at this one too... again I think they had the size advantage.

At the end of the games they got to do a pinata.  They were pretty excited.
 Cal taking his turns:

 Eric and Fiona:
Cal showing me his bloody toe... he stubbed it really bad, and it took forever to heal it seemed like!
Happy 4th everyone!
