Fiona's 4 month check-up

 On August 5th Fiona had her 4th month check-up.  She was a happy, talkative girl for her Doctor.  Everything looked good and healthy.  She was pretty sad when she had to get a couple shots though... broke my heart!

Here are Fiona's 4 month Stats:

Height: 25", 68%

Weight: 14lbs 3oz (45%)

Head: 42cm (83%)

Weekend Updates

I apologize for the random update of a couple weekends packed together, but I've got to get caught up and I'm a little short on time these days!

Here are some photos of what we've been up to these past 2 weekends.

Fiona is getting older by the second.  She likes her play mat a lot!

 We went to the Uptown Art fair on Sunday.  Leyton decided he'd rather swim with at Grace and Lucy's instead of come with us, so Kelly was nice enough to take him for us.  We went out to eat and had a fun relaxing day.  Eric had worked at the fair Friday and Saturday, but was still up for going back with me and the kids.

 We went to the park and ate supper there one night.  The boys love going to the park, and a picnic to them makes it that much better.We like it because then there is less mess to clean up at home!

 A lady at work gave me a recipe for cake pops and said they were fun to make with kids.  We did this while Eric was working the art fair. The boys loved making and eating them!

 We also had some bubble fun- another of Cal's favorite things right now.

 One morning we met Eric at the track running.  The kids were beyond excited to see that the sprinklers were on!

 They were powerful sprinklers and it was COLD water.  Cal got blasted really hard in the cheek and decided he needed a break:

 Fiona was happy in the stroller walking around the track, not getting wet :). She loves to go for walks.

 She's also getting pretty good at sitting up.  It usually only lasts a couple seconds, and I only do it on my lap usually, but she seems to like it. Here she is noticing the TV.  Something really interesting must be on!

Willow River

This past weekend we had Grace overnight while Lucy had her birthday party slumber party with her friends.  The boys were super excited to have Grace at our house and we had a good time.  We went to Willow River State Park after Cal's nap time Saturday and it was gorgeous there.  Eric and the boys have gone but I have to confess its my first time since we moved here.  They've been wanting to show me the water falls and I'm glad they did!

 On the walk back to the car we got super close to this deer.  Cal loves deer so that was a bonus.  He could not stop staring, and was bawling when we finally had to leave it.

VBS Performance

Last Sunday Leyton performed at church songs that he had learned during the week at Vacation Bible School.  He really liked going to it all week, and Eric and I couldn't believe how fast he learned so many new songs!  He loves listening to the CD in the car, and Cal has even learned a few of the songs now.  I love hearing them sing!

Sorry the pictures aren't great.  I guessed and sat on the opposite end of where he was, or course!

Love-Love

Last weekend we took the kids to go play tennis.  Leyton has been wanting to and Eric and I love playing.  It had been forever since we've played so it was fun to get out there again.  Leyton loved hitting with us, and Cal had more fun picking up the balls with the ball hopper and sitting in his chair taking water breaks. :)

Thumb Sucker

Fiona has really found her hands in the last month or so, and if she doesn't have her nuk in, she's pretty much always sucking on her hands.  She's gotten really good at finding her thumb lately, so I couldn't resist getting a few pictures and comparing them to Leyton and Cal's thumb sucking photos.
