Halloween!

Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving, I figured now was probably a good time to get my Halloween photos up!  Sorry I am a month behind, but like usual the days are flying by way too fast.  

We had a good Halloween.  Eric was gone for work and the kids and I headed out to the relatives and met up with their cousins.

Cal was the Elephant that Leyton was a couple years ago, and it might be my favorite costume ever.

 Leyton's first choice this year was Darth Vader but I waited on ordering too soon for fear he'd change his mind... Well his Halloween family fun night costume party was on the 24th and when I went to get it I could not find it in his size.  I felt terrible but thankfully he was very excited about his second choice, Captain America.

 Our first stop was Pat and Terri's farm.  They always have unique and fun stuff for the kids.  Aunt Terri really likes Halloween!

 So then we headed to Lindsey's.  Let me clarify that the photo below of Cal's absolutely terrified face is actually at Lindsey's neighbors!  They go all out, and this year Cal appeared to be the brave one- for a minute. :)  He was clueless what we were walking up to, so he ran right up the yard and when he finally looked up and saw a very scary guy with some type of plastic ax, he went ballistic!  It was sad and funny to see at the same time!  The photo below is actually after he'd calmed down. :)

 Cal got to dress up for school and take a bus ride over to The Deer field to go trick or treating.  This photo was on the class website from his day:

Carving Pumpkins

The boys had a lot of fun carving their pumpkins this year, and to my surprise neither of them minded digging out the guts.  We carved them the weekend before Halloween, since Eric was in LA for work over Halloween and I wasn't about to do this alone.  So we lit them that night too since I knew we wouldn't be home to light them Halloween night, and every night after Eric lit them when we would get home from daycare Cal would ask who blew out our candles and would be so upset the pumpkins weren't lit.  I guess he thought once Eric lit those candles they would keep burning forever until one of us blew them out!  And since Eric was in LA I just kept blaming him. ;)

 Leyton went on a field trip to a pumpkin patch for school and picked out this little pumpkin for Fiona.  She seemed pleased with it!

Basketball and the Park

A few weekends ago Leyton and Lucy went to a basketball drills camp together.  They both enjoyed it and had fun learning many new drills!  The photos didn't turn out the best, and I didn't get many, but here are a few.

 A couple weekends ago we also took what was likely our last trip to Mary's Park until Spring.  It was cold but the kids played as long as their hands could take it, and of course we ended up down by the water for a bit, and Cal ended up with wet feet...

Fiona's 7 month photos

Fiona turned 7 months old on Halloween.  She scoots backwards and gets herself stuck in corners and underneath couches and cribs now!  She also gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth.  It wont be long until she's crawling!  Here are some 7 month birthday photos.

Weekend Fun

We went to grandma and grandpas this weekend to help watch Jessie and Dan's kids while they were in Mexico.  The kids were so excited to see each other and had a lot of fun.  Grandma had this kit where you blow on markers to spray the color on the stencil.  They thought it was pretty neat.
