Leyton is Four!

Our baby turned four!  The weekend of Leyton's birthday was a rainy weekend.  We hung out here and did some fun things like water ballons, presents and cupcakes.  Another thing that Leyton liked doing was going to Pahl's Market to get tomato plants and pepper plants and planting them with Eric.  It was pouring rain so him and cal had fun running in massive puddles.  They also got free popcorn and ice cream cones which we weren't expecting so they were pretty happy about that.  Sunday the 17th, his actual birthday, fell on Father's day this year.  Thanks to Uncle Donny Eric was able to get tickets to the Brewers/Twins game for him and Leyton.  Leyton got his hat autographed by Scott Diamond so, again, he was pretty excited.  It also turned into a 15 inning game, but our kid who normally will never leave a game early was thankfully ok with leaving before that one was done. It rained on them and he was freezing! 

Anyhow, the following weekend my family gathered at Kelly and Dave's for Leyton's birthday pool party.  He had decided about a month before that he wanted a batman and spider man party.  So we got a mix of decorations, and he decided on a batman cake and pinata.  He had a great time and we are really thankful for the new pool!  Leyton was a daredevil and could not get enough of the slide and diving board.  He spent pretty much all of his pool time doing them over and over again.  Thanks everyone for making his 4th birthday so fun and memorable!

4th Birthday at Chuck E. Cheese's!

For Leyton's Birthday we went to Chuck E. Cheese's.  This is becoming a tradition with Grandpa Bostow for Leyton's birthdays.  We invited the neighbors to come with their kids Gavin who's Leyton's age, and Josie, who's Cal's age.  Everyone had a fun night running around playing games!

4 year checkup

Leyton had his 4 year check up last Wednesday.  This was Leyton's first appointment with our new Dr., although he's met her twice before for Cal's appointments.  We really like our new Dr., and Leyton did great at his appointment.  He had a vision test, hearing test, and got a shot.  I didn't realize he needed a shot so I had promised him no shots... I felt terrible!

Here are the stats on our FOUR year old boy!

Weight: 38lbs (70%)

He thought wearing the eye patch for the vision test was pretty funny:

Rain, Rain

When I took these pictures a few weeks ago, it had rained and rained for what seemed like forever.  Now we could sure use a little rain...  Anyhow, on this day it was yet another rainy afternoon and Cal was sleeping so Leyton went out for a little puddle stomping. He even thought to put on his goggles!
