Cal Thomas Bostow

Cal Thomas Bostow arrived at 10:21pm on 11/19/2010. He weighed 7lbs. 3oz (one full pound more than Leyton who was 6lbs. 3oz.) and 20" long. He has lots of dark hair, which we were surprised by! Leyton's was so light we just kind of assumed he would be blonde too! Our due date was the 25th, so he was good to me and came a week early :) and it just happened to be on Aunt Jessie's birthday! The labor was fast, so no epidural again, and I was glad that my mom and Tina and Jessie were able to make it down in time. Leyton stayed with Julie and didn't even seem to notice that we never picked him up from daycare... and of course was so happy to see Grandma pick him up. I can't wait to make our trip back home so everyone can meet him!

Leyton checking out his new baby brother...Lauren and Leyton rubbing Cal's soft hair...You forget how tiny they look in the car seat at first! All of the boys... One of my favorite photos... could the smiles be any bigger!?

Building Teddy

Excited to be at build a bear, finally!Pushing the peddle to fill up the bear with its stuffing...Picking out his heart...Holding the bears heart to his heart...Ready to put it in...Giving Teddy a bath...
And getting him dressed...Proud of his bear!
Last weekend we took Leyton to Build a Bear. Every time we're at the mall he wants to go in there and see what its all about. We were going to do it for his 2nd birthday, but that was 5 months ago... so then we decided it might be a fun thing to do with him before the baby's born, and then he could make a little one for the baby too. He ended up with a teddy for himself that he calls "Teddy" or "Bear Bear", and a little puppy for the baby. He really liked it, and talks all the time about how he pushed the peddle and put the heart in and washed it!

Trick or Treat!

All of the cousins ready for some trick or treating! My not so happy bear...Johnny Depp- I mean uncle Pat- helping Leyton make a candy necklace...Lindsey took the kids over to Cindy's to see all of her decorations and Leyton loved it. When we got in the car he was telling Jessie and me stories about how the witch got him!Kelly and Grandma and Grandpa took all the kids to the park one afternoon- it was a nice break for me, and it looks like the kids had fun!
Leyton and his latest smile... eyes almost always closed, and a scrunched up face!Jessie made cupcakes and the kids all helped decorate them...
Here's that beautiful smile again! :)
Halloween weekend we all headed up to NR for our last trip home before this baby comes. Leyton had a fun weekend playing with his cousins and helping out in the barn, but by the time trick or treating came Sunday evening with no nap, he was a little cranky... By the end of the night he was getting the hang of getting candy though, and even said when we were leaving Aunt Diane's "lets go to another house!". Thanks everyone for the fun weekend!

Swimming!

Last week we took Leyton to the Comer Center to go swimming. He loves swimming, and considering we have access to a pool that's only a mile from our house, we don't do it often enough. Leyton had a lot of fun, and even talked me into getting in the cold water after awhile. After we were done swimming he didn't understand why him and I couldn't go in the hot tub like Dad did... I think I was just as jealous of Eric in there as Leyton was!

Day at the Beach

A couple weekends ago it was really nice out so we decided to make one last trip out to Governor dodge beach before it gets really cold. We packed a picnic and ate on the beach. Leyton loved walking in the sand, and even dipped his toes in the freezing water a couple times!

Baby Present

Today Julie took Leyton and Caden shopping and let them each pick out something for the new babies coming. Caden's mom Sarah is due Nov. 23rd, and I'm due the 25th. Its funny since Caden and Leyton are only a few weeks apart also. Here's Leyton proud of what he picked out for baby! I'm sure it was the fuzzy Santa on it that got him...
