Fun at the Mansell's

Today Grandma and mom and I went to Grace and Lucy's house. It was a really hot day so we played in the pool for a bit, played on the swing set, & then Lucy took me for a ride on the Gator. After that I showed them some of my baseball skills! Thanks for the fun day guys!

Centennial Park

While everyone else was busy working back at the house, Grandma, Aunt Jessie and mom took us kids to the park. When they come to visit we usually take them to Harris park, but this time we decided to show them Centennial park- the same park the baseball games are played at! Here are some photos from our time there.I now refuse to go in the "baby" swing, and insist on sitting on the big kid swings... Mom is always nervous pushing me, but I've never fallen off!
Trying to pump with my legs like the big kids... Grandma and baby Ella. Doesn't she look adorable in her romper and matching hat?Slides always make my hair do crazy things... Lauren does this cool trick where she goes down the slides on her tummy!Lauren and I loved these neat steps!Grace and Lucy looking happy to be at the park!

I Heart Babies

Pretty much since Ella was born in September, and Maggie in December, I've developed a bit of an obsession for babies! Here are some photos of me and the "Babies!" from the weekend.

Going in for the kiss on Ella...
Getting into crawling position so I can be at her level...Giving her her nuk...Deep in conversation... See how interested she is in what I am saying?Did I mention that I LOVE babies!? Later that day I also spent time hanging with baby Maggie...I mean protecting her... Don't mess with Maggie!

Work & Play

As I mentioned earlier, everyone worked really hard on getting our house looking good last weekend! Mom can't believe that out of all the work that was done these are the only pictures she has of them working... seriously mom, not one painting picture??? Anyhow, she feels really bad... While Dan, Tina, Kelly, Jessie, & Grandma and Grandpa were busy working, we took lots of opportunities to play. We went to the park one day, and even got out the kiddie pool on Sunday because it was SO hot outside!

Aunt Kelly demonstrating her measuring skills...Dad using me as an excuse to take a break... ;) Just kidding Dad!I was so anxious to try out the new steps I just couldn't wait until they were finished.Hanging out in the pool... that water was SO cold, I just played from the edge :) Snack time...Goofy Lucy giving mom her biggest smile!

Before & After

This weekend Grandma & Grandpa McNamara and all of my aunts and uncles and cousins came to visit us in Dodgeville and help with some projects, and boy did they help! Our house has been in need of a paint makeover and they all volunteered to come help mom and dad get it done. It was amazing and crazy how fast they got everything done... Not only did they get the entire house painted- including trim, they also built steps going off the back deck! This has been on mom's wish list pretty much since the day they bought the house 2 years ago... and let me tell you the steps are nice! We've already gotten so much use out of them, and Brody loves being able to go out to the backyard now too! As if that wasn't enough, they also finished tiling the basement, and put transition strips in all of the doorways that needed them! I can't believe all of the things that got done in one weekend... and all in 90 degree heat! Mom and Dad are sooo grateful for everything they did. Thanks so much you guys!

Before...After...!
The color is kind of a sagey/olivey green... These photos aren't great b/c it was dark and rainy, but I'll try to update with better photos when its nicer outside.
Mom has more photos from the weekend that she'll try to post soon... sorry, right now she's got a wild toddler to put to bed!

Mud Run

Last weekend Dad and his Friend Matt did the Verona Mud Run. It's an 8K full of crazy hills and lots of mud! Mom and I couldn't believe how dirty they were when they got done. Matt's wife Bridget and their 2 kids and I had fun hanging out while they ran. I especially loved when mom let me play on the baseball field afterwards. Good job Dad and Matt!
