Fiona's 9 month check-up

January 9th Fiona had her 9 month check-up.  She was a happy girl for the doctor and seems to be an overall healthy, happy baby.

Here are Fiona's 9 month stats:
Height: 29" (90th %)
Weight: 19.10 lbs (75%)

She was so happy (until it was time for shots...)

This was after 2 shots and a blood draw.  She cried very hard when the nurse did the blood draw, but sat there so good with her arm in the nurses hand.  The nurse commented on how sweet she was being that she wasn't even trying to move her arm away from her!  She screamed so loud for what seemed like forever though!

And a few minutes later she was all better!  She was really preoccupied with the band-aid on her finger!

Bostow Christmas celebration

We celebrated Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Bostow on New Years Day this year.   They came to our house and the kids were once again spoiled!  We had such a great Christmas with so many celebrations and family around.  We missed Aunt Sarah and Bryon but will hopefully see them soon.

Grandpa and Fiona reading some instructions:
Fiona and another bow!
Cal got this tractor and wagon, which happens to be the same one Luca got from Santa!  They are going to be so excited when they realize they have the same tractor (their favorite things in the world...).
Fiona took a nap after present opening, and woke up so happy :)

Cal and Leyton thought it was fun to hide in the tractor box while Dad and Grandpa put it together:
Grandma and Fiona:
Leyton was really excited about his Legos:
Cal and Grandma, wearing his new hat and apron.  He loves to help cook!

Christmas Day!

Christmas morning Leyton woke up bright and early.  It was 5:40 when he got up, and as soon as he finished opening all of his presents from Santa Clause and I thought there was a chance we could go back to bed, Cal woke up.  They were both tired since we didn't get to bed until after 11 Christmas eve, but the Christmas excitement kept them going ;).  Fiona slept in until about 10:00, so she didn't open her Santa presents until later that night.  Sleeping until 10:00 has become her normal routine on weekends- she is such a sleepy head. She goes to bed at her normal 8:00 and usually sleeps until 9 or 10 o'clock!  Of course it makes me feel really guilty that she has to get woken up at 5:45 on weekdays...

Leyton was excited about his micro chargers:
And ninja turtle DVD's:
He was super excited about his Darth Vader action figure:
Cal was excited about his presents, but went a lot slower than Leyton when it came to opening, and stopped for a few stocking snacks along the way ;)

He wanted a big wheel, so was really happy to see that, and the barn was a hit too.

Fiona opening her presents later that night, with Leyton's help:

She loves those bows!

Christmas Day at 11:00 we always go to my Parents for brunch.  I didnt get many photos from the day, but here are a few:
Dave Helping Cal with his present opening:

He was very excited about the pirate ship Mansell's got him, and all the farm stuff from Grandma and Grandpa!
The kids all got way too spoiled from Grandma and Grandpa!  Leyton was excited to get his own magna-tiles, a fork lift, a dinosaur bone digging kit, etc.
Leyton and Lauren putting together his playmobile police car fromWeimert's:
Fiona and Evie, doing their favorite thing; chewing on whatever toys they can find!

Eric helped Fiona open up her first Doll:
Back at home, Leyton wanted me to take a photo of him holding Fiona in front of the tree.  I think she was heavier than he was expecting :).

Christmas Eve

We headed to Kelly and Dave's on Christmas Eve.  It was great night, complete with a surprise stop from Santa!  He brought the kids each a gift and then had to get on his way delivering presents.  Cal was his usual unpredictable self, and wasn't terrified of Santa at all like he was at Farm & Home.  Maggie and Cal were very curious about him, and went right up to him when he came in.

Family photo attempt...

The kids were hyper and excited about Santa possibly coming to their house that night..
Cal hanging out with Grandma:
Santa's here!
All smiles!

Except for Fiona... She was not a fan of being put on Santa's lap at all!

Tommy and Santa.  He wasn't so sure about him, but he held it together much better than Fiona :).
Maggie was so excited!
Grace and Santa:
Lucy and Santa:

Leyton was very excited about his Hulk guy Santa brought:
Susie's mom Barbara holding Fiona:
Fiona's favorite part about Christmas:  The bows on her presents!

Kelly got this funny Santa hat and beard for Mya... she wasn't amused ;)
