Marathon Man

Just getting to the race... I don't look very enthused here, but trust me, I got pretty wild with that clapper! Here comes Dad, at about mile 20.Sharing my snacks with Juble. Dad and Justin- looking pretty happy considering they were on about lap 90...Dad re-fueling with some powerade and a "nana".My dad ran another marathon this past weekend in Milwaukee, WI. Dad and his friend Justin headed down Saturday night and Mommy, me and Dad's friends wife and boy who is only 2 days younger than me headed down Sunday really early. It was an indoor marathon around an Olympic sized speed skating track; 96 laps total! It is known to be a very mentally tough marathon, and Dad did great (although afterward he said all he could see was red and gray swirls)! There were lots of interesting things going on to keep me entertained though, including real Olympic speed skaters skating. Way to go Dad! Also, mom apologizes for the picture quality... Julie's were much better so she'll try to update this when we get them.

Tennis Anyone?

The Australian Open tennis tournament started on Monday, the first big tournament of the year and we are so excited about it at the Bostow household! Unfortunately we've had a few too many late nights staying up watching because of the time difference... Go Lleyton, Andy, Kim and Justine! (I'm told they are our favorites :))

Sledding!

Don't worry, Grandpa went very slow for me- mom says it was nothing like when they were kids!
Looking at something very interesting with Lauren......Grandpa trying to get the Gator un-stuck!I still can't believe they sent us down the hill alone! We both loved it though! Hanging out in the hay mow...Helping feed the chickens...
I went sledding with my cousin Lauren this past weekend. It was so much fun! I took a break from sledding down the big hay mow hill to help feed the chickens and say Hi to the calves. I even got to go for a Gator ride out in the fields with Mom and Grandpa!

My 3 favorite letters: MOA (ok, maybe they're mom's!)

Waiting patiently for my food to come at the Rain forest Cafe...Yummy!!!Checking out the cool fish with Lucy...Taking in the sights with Lauren while our moms debated the next store...
This past weekend mom and I made the long drive to hang out with my cousins since dad was busy getting in his final runs before his marathon this coming weekend. We had a very busy and quick weekend seeing as how mom got stuck at work late Friday night, and then we had to leave early Sunday to get back for the Golden Globes of course!

We were busy and on the go almost every day it seemed like. It was good to see so many family, relatives and friends. We spent the 23rd and 24th with Grandma and Grandpa Bostow and Aunt Sarah which was nice. I got so many neat presents including a tunnel with a tent and a basketball hoop! Then Christmas Eve night we went to Grandma and Grandpa McNamara's. Christmas morning we did our traditional brunch with all of my cousins and aunts and uncles. The food was amazing and I of course got way too many presents. Saturday the 26th brought Christmas at Great Grandma Krumm's with all of my second cousins and great Aunts and Uncles and Grandparents. There is always too many people to count there which makes it that much more fun! Finally Sunday we had to head back to Dodgeville. The next week Mom and dad had Thursday and Friday off so we got lots of hanging out and relaxing in. We spent New Years eve at mom and dad's friends house in Mineral Point, and I almost made it to midnight- I lasted until 11:15 (mom and dad were pretty proud of themselves for making it to midnight!). This first week back into our normal routine sure has been hard getting use to!
