Preschool Fun

Leyton's 4K class celebrated Dr. Seuss's Birthday last week so we decided to make some treats for his class. We made a green eggs and ham treat that he was really excited about.  He also made the Dr. Seuss Hat he's wearing below at school and told me right away "Its not the right colors I know, but I followed the pattern."  He is getting so old!  His class also has something called VIP lunch once in awhile where we get to eat lunch with his class and they have a couple songs or a project they show us.  Its always fun to see him with his classmates, and see how excited he is to have lunch with us!

 The week of this lunch they had learned about bodies.  They each got traced and then colored their bodies with veins, lungs, heart, stomach, intestines, etc.  The photo of the head even lifted up to reveal a brain :)  He was pretty proud of it.

Cal loves going to school to get Leyton and check out the classroom, and mostly the gym.  He also begs to go swimming a lot and always wants to look at the pool.

Dentist Visits

Last week the kids both had dentist appointments.  I took Cal first while Leyton was at preschool.  It was Cal's first time at the dentist, and I was a little worried about how he would do.  I couldn't picture him sitting in the chair laying back still, or opening his mouth and letting them dig around in there... But he completely impressed me and did great!  The hygienist and Dr. Mike were  impressed with how well he listened and opened his mouth for them.  Cal even let them polish his teeth, something the hygienist was certain she wouldn't be able to do!  Leyton's appointment was later that afternoon and he did great as well.  Dr. Mike said they both have healthy, good looking teeth.  The kids were pretty excited to get their new toothbrushes and floss afterwards, and pick out a prize.

 Afterwards I had promised them a treat at Dairy Queen. (not sure the Dentist would be impressed with treats for a reward...)  They both picked Star kisses which stained their faces for a long time!
