Daddy Time

This weekend Eric and Leyton spent some quality time together, giving me a nice break! On Friday night Leyton went to his first movie (with one of us that is- he's gone with daycare before) with Eric in Plateville. They saw Yogi Bear and I guess he loved it! Eric said he sat on his lap the whole time and stayed awake for the entire thing. When we put movies in at home we can't get him to sit still for more than 10 minutes of it, so we were really impressed. Eric said the popcorn may have had something to do with it! Then on Saturday they went to the Children's museum in Madison. We hadn't been in a few months so Leyton was really excited to go. I made Eric take pictures for me- looks like he had fun!
Leyton doing some gardening...Proud of his pizza... Making me a Christmas ornament...

Christmas is coming!

A couple weekends ago we went to get our Christmas tree. Leyton was so excited to finally go do this- he is really into Christmas this year. Every time we walk in a store and he sees a Christmas tree or decorations/lights he yells "Mommy CHRISTMAS!" As you can see however, both boys fell asleep on the way there! So, dad ended up going out by himself to cut it down... Not exactly what we planned, but Leyton was still super excited when we got home and he got to watch dad put it up and help me decorate it.

2 Week Check-up

Right after a bath- not his favorite thing yet...First time in the bouncy seat...
Leyton helping him make a phone call...
On Dec. 3rd Cal turned two weeks old. I cannot believe how fast these weeks have gone, and that he is already going to be a month old this Friday. I feel like he is growing so fast, everyday he looks bigger than just the day before. At his 2 week check-up he weighed 8lbs 6oz- a whole pound and 3oz more than his birth weight, and a lot more than the 6lbs 10oz he weighed when we left the hospital. 8lbs 6oz at 2 weeks puts him in the 45th percentile for weight. He was 20 1/2" long at his appointment, which put him in the 40th percentile for height.
