Cal's 18 month check-up

Cal had his 18 month check-up yesterday and he is a big, healthy boy!  Everything looked good with his health, his speech and communication skills are right on, and she even said his ear piercing high pitched screaming is normal... I just wish there was some way to stop it!

At 18 months Cal is saying new words all the time.  Some of his favorites are: Mum, Dada, Brother (pronounced Butter), Hi!, kitty, ball, thank you, please, night night.  He's at a fun age right now where he'll try to repeat pretty much any word you ask him to. He has also mastered making car/tractor noises and surprised me one day when we pulled into G&G's farm and he pointed at the tractor and made a great tractor sound!

Here are his 18 month stats:
Weight- 27. 2lbs, 80%
Height- 33.25", 90%
Head- 19.25", 94%

He also had to get shots yesterday and blood drawn for the lead test.  He was not a happy camper and definitely cried longer than I've ever heard him...
Here are some photos from his first appointment at our new Doctors office:
Enjoying some snacks while we waited for the Dr. to come in:

And this picture was taken BEFORE the shots and blood draw... He was completely over this appointment and ready to go, and then they came in for the bad part!
